This project came about through presentations we were giving which shared ideas for how to reinvigorate suburban office parks by creating indoor/outdoor meeting spaces, social spaces, outdoor amenities, and recreation to make them more marketable. As a result, however, were hired for this podium deck in downtown Denver, which was previously more of a visual object to view from the adjacent high rise than a useable space. Working within the existing framework, we added a bar / lunch area, weather protected lounge areas and hammocks. The client is weighing the idea of providing recreation elements such as ping pong, corn hole, mini golf to provide additional activation.
